Responsibilities

  • Supervises and participates in the procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of items.

  • Maintains automated inventory control system and resolves technical issues with the CMMS.

  • Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of stock keepers, mechanics, drivers, and others.

  • Collaborates with supervisors to assess needs for equipment, parts, supplies, and materials.

  • Monitors and controls inventory using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • ,
  • Trains staff in the use of CMMS and maintains records associated with warehouse operations.
  • ,
  • Researches and prepares reports on inventory and budget monitoring.
  • ,
  • Contacts vendors to research availability and cost of items, and sets up supplier accounts.
  • ,
  • Writes specifications for new inventoried items and collaborates on bid specifications for purchases.

  • Operates material handling equipment, including forklifts, to move inventory.

Requirements

  • Possession of an associate degree or completion of 60 college credits in business management or a related field.
  • ,
  • Five years of stockkeeping, warehousing, inventory control, or related experience.
  • ,
  • Experience in the automotive/mechanical maintenance field preferred.
  • ,
  • Possession of a valid class C Maryland driver's license or equivalent is required.
  • ,
  • A valid commercial, class A Maryland driver's license is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $67,134 to $105,865.
