Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Support Associate to join our logistics and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This role is vital to ensuring that goods move efficiently through the supply chain while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments and materials.

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (loading, packing, labeling, shipping).

  • Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and updating records in the warehouse management system.

  • Organize and maintain the warehouse area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and accessibility.

  • Assist in the coordination of logistics and dispatch operations.

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners (training will be provided if needed).

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational targets.

  • Identify and report any discrepancies or damages in received materials.

  • Support other warehouse functions as needed to meet business demands.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory systems, or logistics.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy items safely.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.

  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, or inventory software).

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or related fields.

  • Freshers with a willingness to learn and adapt will also be considered.

Working Hours

  • Full-Time: 8 hours per day, Monday to Saturday.

  • Shift Options: Morning and Evening shifts available based on operational needs.

  • Overtime: Available during peak seasons with additional pay.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and handling procedures.

  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery (preferred but not required).

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
