Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking passionate and nurturing Entry-Level Preschool Teacher Assistants to support our early childhood education programs. The Preschool Teacher Assistant will work alongside lead teachers to create a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment that promotes the emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
Key Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, playtime, and creative learning.
Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Support children in developing essential life skills such as sharing, communication, and self-confidence.
Prepare learning materials, organize classroom supplies, and help maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Participate in group activities, storytelling, music sessions, and outdoor play.
Provide individual attention to students who need additional support.
Observe and report childrens progress and behavior to the lead teacher and parents as necessary.
Assist with snack times, meal preparation, and nap routines.
Follow all school safety policies and child protection procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred).
A genuine love and enthusiasm for working with children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and creativity in dealing with young learners.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Basic organizational and time management skills.
Good physical stamina to participate in active play and supervision.
Experience
No prior experience required — ideal for fresh graduates or individuals beginning their teaching career.
Previous volunteer or internship experience in childcare or early education is an added advantage.
Working Hours
Full-time and part-time shifts available.
Typical working hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Occasional weekend or event participation may be required.
