Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting with daily activities. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home health environments.

Duties

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff.
  • Provide basic life support and emergency care as needed.
  • Support hospice care by offering comfort and assistance to terminally ill patients and their families.
  • Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility or home setting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Engage with patients to promote emotional well-being and social interaction.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
  • Experience in patient care, particularly with geriatrics or individuals with developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or operating room (OR) setting can be beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $23.73 - $28.58 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
