About the Role

Amazon Pharmacy is expanding its remote clinical support team and is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician based in Arizona. This role focuses on helping customers access medications easily, understand prescription orders, and receive ongoing support for better health outcomes. You will work in a non-retail, professional environment with a business-casual culture, supporting patients via phone, chat, and digital communication tools.

What You will Do

  • Understand and follow Amazon Pharmacy policies, procedures, and services

  • Communicate with medical providers to request new or updated prescriptions and verify accuracy of information

  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance guidelines across multiple states

  • Handle confidential customer information with professionalism

  • Provide high-quality patient support in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth prescription processing and customer satisfaction

  • Work flexible shifts, including possible weekends or nontraditional hours

Customer Support Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and chats from patients and internal Customer Care representatives

  • Assist customers with prescription status updates, account adjustments, order issues, and website navigation

  • Troubleshoot insurance claim questions, coordinating with billing teams when needed

  • Resolve customer concerns directly or escalate to a pharmacist when clinical input is required

  • Make outbound follow-up calls as needed, including urgent cases

  • Serve as a point of contact for technology or system outage updates

Support for Customer Care Team

  • Take escalated calls and provide clear resolutions

  • Offer guidance and feedback to customer service representatives

  • Assist with workflow issues and maintain performance metrics

Basic Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Arizona Board of Pharmacy license (Technician, Trainee, or Assistant)

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 6+ months navigating computer and web-based applications

  • Ability to multitask using phone and computer systems simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • National certification (PTCB or NHA)

  • 1+ year of customer service or call center experience

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Experience resolving technical issues

  • Prior work experience in a pharmacy environment

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
