Job Summary
As a Teamleiter Instandhaltung (Maintenance Team Leader) within Amazons Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) department, you will lead a team of technicians to ensure the optimal performance of our state-of-the-art material handling equipment and automation systems. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the highest safety standards, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across our fulfillment centers.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Oversee and support a maintenance team during your shift, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
Equipment Monitoring: Utilize SCADA systems to monitor equipment performance, conducting visual inspections and condition-based monitoring to identify potential issues.
Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve equipment failures swiftly, minimizing operational disruptions.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency across the EU network.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background: Completed technical vocational training recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in operating and maintaining material handling equipment and automation systems.
Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and developing technical teams, with a focus on performance and safety.
Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in shift patterns, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.
Experience
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a technical maintenance role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Industry Experience: Background in logistics, manufacturing, or a similar high-paced industrial environment is advantageous.
Working Hours
Shift-Based Schedule: Work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure continuous operations.
