Job Summary
The American Red Cross is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our Humanitarian and Corporate Services teams. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by managing correspondence, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and assisting with projects critical to the mission of the Red Cross. Key Responsibilities
Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate virtual meetings for team members and leadership.
Prepare, edit, and format documents, presentations, and reports with accuracy and professionalism.
Handle incoming emails, phone calls, and inquiries, ensuring timely responses and proper follow-up.
Maintain organized electronic and physical records, including confidential documentation.
Assist in project coordination, tracking deadlines, and supporting special initiatives within Humanitarian and Corporate Services.
Generate reports, maintain databases, and track departmental metrics as needed.
Provide support for virtual events, webinars, and internal communications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational workflows.
Support onboarding of new team members by assisting with administrative and logistical tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as an administrative assistant, office manager, or similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Google Workspace).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective team communication.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a non-profit, corporate, or humanitarian organization.
Experience supporting multiple teams or departments simultaneously is highly desirable.
Working Hours
Full-time, remote role.
Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility may be required to support cross-time-zone collaboration).
