Job Summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Customer Engagement Agent to support our Blood Services division. This remote role focuses on engaging with donors, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a positive donor experience. This position offers flexible work-from-home hours while playing a critical role in maintaining the continuity and efficiency of blood donation services nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for blood donors via phone, email, and other digital communication channels.

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm blood donation appointments with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Maintain detailed records of donor interactions and appointments in the organizations database.

  • Provide timely information and answer questions regarding donation eligibility, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the Blood Services team to ensure smooth donor workflows and optimal donor experiences.

  • Identify opportunities to improve donor engagement and provide feedback to management.

  • Follow organizational policies and protocols to ensure compliance and donor safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse donor populations.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office and CRM platforms.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.

Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service, call center, or donor relations preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with healthcare, blood services, or nonprofit organizations is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Must be able to work during peak donation hours, including some evenings and weekends.
