Job Summary:
The American Red Cross is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized National Team Platelet Scheduler to join our remote operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient scheduling of platelet donations across our national network, optimizing donor engagement, and maintaining a seamless blood supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule platelet donations across multiple locations in accordance with organizational needs and donor availability.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records using internal scheduling systems.
Monitor and adjust schedules to address donor cancellations, staffing changes, and urgent platelet demands.
Communicate with donors, staff, and medical teams to ensure timely collection and adherence to safety protocols.
Assist with the planning and execution of national platelet drives, ensuring efficient scheduling and coverage.
Identify scheduling trends and provide recommendations for process improvements to optimize donor engagement.
Collaborate with regional teams to forecast platelet supply needs and support operational planning.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards in scheduling practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a national team.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in scheduling, operations, or administrative coordination, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit settings.
