Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance team in a fully remote position based in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights that drive business performance. This role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory standards.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and resolve audit queries.

  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to ensure optimal financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and handle filing of returns with relevant authorities.

  • Provide financial guidance and risk assessment to management and key stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent certification) required.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and auditing standards.

  • Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-motivated and capable of managing work remotely with minimal supervision.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional accounting experience in a corporate or audit environment.

  • Prior experience working remotely or managing virtual financial operations will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote work schedule (Full-time).

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (WAT).

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during financial closing periods.
