Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking a seamstress or sewing machine operator to assist in the production, sewing, inspection, and packing of customer goose down comforters, pillows, featherbeds and related items. Flexible part-time hours (approximately 16 to 24 hours). Weekdays. Starting wage $17 to $19 or commensurate with experience. If you have some sewing skills or experience we can help you with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain sewing machines to produce down bedding products.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Assist in final inspection and packing of items.
  • Assist in inventory management within the plant and warehouse as needed.
  • Report to lead operator and production manager.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate an industrial sewing machine
  • Ability to work closely with others.
