Program Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Assistant to support our team in delivering impactful programs and services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in program support, volunteer management, and bookkeeping. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for community engagement.

Duties

  • Submitting payroll to bookkeeper, paying bills, making deposits, audit preparation, and maintaining checking account.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future initiatives.
  • Oversee social media management to enhance program visibility and outreach.
  • Collaborate with team members on fundraising efforts to support program sustainability.
  • Provides advocacy to all victims served by Options.
  • Answer crisis line and shelter intakes on first shift.
  • Provide direct assistance to the Executive Director handling mail and managing donation records and acknowledgements.
  • Provide clerical support to the Executive Director
  • Assistant in additional duties related to the position that may arise and general office and shelter support.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.

Requirements

  • Experience in office setting and bookkeeping preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Experience in volunteer management preferred.
  • Must be a notary or willing to become a notary.
  • Background in program development or project management is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in marketing strategies and social media platforms for outreach purposes.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods for program evaluation is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and advocacy is a plus.
  • Experience in fundraising initiatives or administrative roles will be advantageous.
  • High School diploma required. An associate or bachelors degree preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Work Location: In person
