Established in 1998, RiverWatch Grill is a waterfront family-owned Bar & Grill specializing in gourmet & imaginative one-of-a-kind burgers. In addition, our menu features a variety of American food, as well as beer, wine, and the only full-service bar in Chimney Rock Village! We are located in the heart of downtown on Main Street nestled against the Rocky Broad River. Our indoor and outdoor dining allows our guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding them! On top of that, we've got live music EVERY Friday night. Job Summary:

The Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, providing accurate wait times, and ensuring that guests have a positive experience at the bar and grill. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they arrive at the bar and grill and provide accurate wait times, ensuring that guests are seated in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest reservations, including names, phone numbers, and special requests.
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries, providing information about the menu, specials, and events as needed.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure that tables are cleaned and prepared for the next guest.
  • Manage the waiting list and communicate with guests to provide updates on wait times and table availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest concerns and answering questions as needed.
  • Ability to take/handle all to-go orders
  • Ability to use POS system (Aloha experience preferred)
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a hostess or in a similar role in a restaurant or bar setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
