District Sales Manager
JOB OVERVIEW
This opportunity for a District Sales Manager (DSM) necessitates exceptional governance of sale metrics among Sales Consultants (SCs). The individual filling this position is mandated to foster a performance-driven environment, mentoring and nurturing the capabilities of their sales consultants to accomplish profitable intended case and GP growth.
DUTIES
- Oversight of performance and growth of Sales Consultants (SCs) within the district.
- Facilitates weekly one-on-one coaching and orientation averaging 3 to 5 SC workshops.
- Skillfully leads and steers Friday district meetings with an aim to educate, motivate, and ultimately induce key sales-driving behavioral changes.
- Spearheads and manages Customer Engagement initiatives by empowering district SC to offer Sysco customers with broadened service channel alternatives (incorporating technology enablement, value-added services, and team selling).
- Must foster a continuous advancement mindset focusing on technology, sales prowess, soft skills, and product awareness.
- Utilizes the Sales Support resources and tools to enhance the consulting time of SC.
- Fully integrates our CRM in managing SC's sales planning, prospecting, and daily client engagement and advocates for productive utilization of Sysco 360 among all SC's.
- Successfully achieves Sysco brand milestones and directly governs conversion opportunities within the district.
- Encourages and promotes all national campaigns and promotions.
- Tasked with offering coaching, training, and timely feedback to spur sales consultant development of consultative selling acumen of sales associates (aligned with the Sysco Way to Sell).
- Completely integrates the CMP and QPP Processes for coaching the performance of all sales colleagues within the district.
- Responsibile for the execution of territory planning and management.
- Prioritizes direct relationships with elite customers and high potential prospects.
- Endorses company initiatives and introduces center led strategy within the district.
- Additional sales management responsibilities inclusive but not limited to other operational duties and customer relationship management.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic Qualification
- Successful completion of a High School education is mandatory.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration or equivalent relevant work experience.
Work Experience
- 2 years or more of successful experience in growing profitable sales in the foodservice industry.
- 5 or more years of foodservice sales experience in the foodservice industry is preferred.

- Ability to motivate and manage others.
- Competencies in writing reports and business correspondence.
- Proficiency in new business development, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and specific objectives within assigned territory.
- Proficiency in identifying and qualifying prospects adhering to company account stratification goals.
- Command over understanding of market trends, recommending products to customers based on their business needs and goals.
- Ability to answer customer inquiries about product features, prices, availability, and product usage.
- Ability to provide product information and practical training to client personnel.
- Proficiency in management of deliveries following the schedule published by the transportation department.
- Ability to troubleshoot any issues that occur during the order process.
- Active participation in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events.
- Regular attendance and participation in general sales and district meetings.
- Proficiency in review and analysis of daily and weekly reports.
- Ability to perform administrative duties including preparation of sales budgets and quotes, maintenance of sales records, processing of credits and pick-up requests, and filing reports.
- Active participation in continuous training sessions.
- Ability to assist with the training of new employees as requested.
