Assembly Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the making, assembling and installation of parts and components for use in mechanical devices, refrigeration systems and air control systems.

REPORTING:

Reports to the Production Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fork lift certification or willing to obtain one

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Install various components in production units

Build subassemblies for production units

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand mechanical blueprints, sketches, and drawings of a systems components
  • Cut and bend copper and stainless-steel tubing
  • Build pumps and blower assemblies
  • Install heaters, fans, doors, and subassemblies
  • Drill, tap, and thread holes in metal
  • Seal, caulk and gasket seams

OTHER FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Use, clean and maintain tools, equipment and work area to a safe manner
  • Lift up to 70-pound compressors with mechanical assistance
  • Help in other areas of production if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
